Posting before the year ends...

After more than a year, I'm blurbbing.

I'm sifting thru my brain for what's new since I last blurbbed but basically everything's the same.

πŸ“š Book towers, though, are a bit taller and I think I didn't even make a chink in my to-be-read list. Oh yeah, I'm actually 12 books behind my Goodreads challenge and I think I might not be able to finish my target of 80 this year. I blame it all on all the Hidden Objects games on the iPad, gah. orz

✈️ After going to and fro South Korea within two months last year, I was stuck here in the metro this whole year, huhu. I want spring or autumn in Japan next year! Or back in Korea, I'm not choosy! πŸŽ‹πŸƒπŸ‚πŸ

We have a new Rottwieler and he's now 10 months and 30kgs big 😱😨😰 and likes to snuggle, to my dismay. 😱😰😨

What else, what else... I think we bought a new house. 😢😯😬

Currently reading a grapgic novel by Arnold Arre, The Mythology Class. Decided to read this after reading about in the comments for the film Heneral Luna, which was AWESOMESAUCE (was raving about this film for weeks on end and I even started a Viber group with other friends, LUNAtics, just to keep my sanity. That's how awesome it was). πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Planning on finishing all the books I borrowed before the year ends (books 9-12 of The Last Apprentice; The Lovely Bones; The Anansi Boys; and, oh yeah, The Mythology Class). Yup, a big "goodluck on that endeavor, Shari". πŸ˜‘πŸ˜ž

Priorities, priorities, priorities, huhuhu.

Bookgeekery: Why I'll never finish my to-be-read list this lifetime.

There's this yearly book challenge in Goodreads, challenging oneself to finish a number of books within a span of a year. I challenged myself to finish 80 books this year... I just binged read a manga series, Ao Haru Ride, (it still on-going, by the way) bringing my current book count to 84. And I haven't even started on even a fourth of my to-be-read list. orz

I've been waylaid by another new book title, time and time again.

*sigh* I also hope that UP again wins the UAAP Men's Basketball Championship during my lifetime. T_T

Titan/Jaeger/Kaiju Filled Weekend vs. Hermit Weekend

After a fun filled weekend with my college friends in Boracay (where I got to nurse an aching shoulder because of helmet diving up until a week later a.k.a. NOW), this weekend is Hermit Weekend!!!

With my book towers still steadily going higher and higher, I got started on... Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan)! I have been on a SnK high since I think more than a month already and with the rain literally "raining on our parade" while we were on the beach (damn kaijus), we ended up watching the anime (my 4th). Now, I've finished all 10 manga volumes... where's the next chapter Hajime?! @#$%$#@ What you gonna do to Eren and Christia?! @#$%$#@

With no Volume 11 in sight and it has to  be a productive hermit weekend, I finally moved on with the book I brought along the trip last week, Rachel Vincent's My Soul To Take, which I got at the BookDepository sale for 2$. Afufufufu. I planned to finish it during the trip, imagined myself reading in a cabana overlooking the white sand and the beach... *sigh* but that was in vain... again, damn kaijus.

The book was interesting enough (I finished it overnight) and is now on the second book My Soul To Save. It's quite reminiscent of the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan (the book focuses on bean sidhes, pronounced as "banshees", and death instead of witches and wicca) with its well thought of mythology and its love triangle twists (yes, my EQ got the better of me, again, and I have already "peeked" through the next books T_T).

So now, I'm taking a break from reading the book (I'm 3/4 into it), probably download the third book (My Soul To Keep) later, updating my VLC player, readying myself  to watch and cry over SnK episode 16 in a bit (I have crying friends all over Plurk because of the episode) and flexing my sore shoulder (damn, kaijus.)
 Low tide, Kaiju alert!
 Kaijus yonder!

Photobomber I am. XD

Please be Anton... )^o^(

Recently got into Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series and just spent 2 weekends text flailing and spazzing with my friend Kwini. For some reason, we almost always end up falling and flailing for the same male character, who almost always is the "other" guy. And for this particular book series, our "other" guy is Adrian Ivashkov, though Kwini mistakenly texted and named him "Anton", so the name stuck. *snickers*

The movie version for the first book is set for March 2014 and they already have actors for Rose, Lissa, and Dimitri but no Anton yet :(. So Kwini and I have been on the search for the ideal Anton (yes, we don't have anything better to do XD). From Ben Barnes and Ryan Gosling and Jensen Ackles, I think we spent a whole for this daunting task (again, yes, we don't have anything better to do XD). But I think I got it! He'll definitely do, right, Kwini?!

He's the one who plays Kol in the TV series Vampire Diaries.

Okay. Just had to blurbed this all out. XD Back to finishing book 6 of the series...
